Description
If you have a fear of canning, or are overwhelmed on where or how to start, then this is for you! In this two-part class we will go over the basics of canning, what ingredients we use to get away from sugar & chemicals, we will demonstrate water bath and pressure canning start to finish, as well as drying, dehydrating, freezing, and other preservation techniques. We will also provide resources for sourcing locally grown produce, locally raised meat, and how we go about sourcing affordable high quality organic food outside of the grocery stores.
Total cost of the class is $200. The $50 reservation fee is non-refundable (unless the class is cancelled). The remaining $150 will be collected in May. We will send out an email ahead of the class with information about what to bring, directions and what to expect.
