This month explores our proven natural healing methods. In the last 5 years, we can count the number of times our entire family of 13 has been to the doctor on one hand! We hear often from our members that they were sick far less often by employing our practices.
You’ll master the art of making medicinal herb remedies for year-round use, using poultices for common ailments, and how to utilize natural healing methods like detox baths, sauna, and more to keep the doctor away.

How to breed, incubate, hatch, brood, and raise chickens. This includes choosing the right coop & chicken breeds for your situation, DIY feeders and waterers, preserving eggs and so much more.
In this “Part 1” of Sourdough, members will learn what sourdough is, the science behind making it, how take care of and feed starter (the easy way), and the essential steps of making sourdough. We also teach you the “why” behind every step so that you can problem solve when things go wrong.
Members receive our dehydrated starter and a step by step video tutorial on how to rehydrate it and get it active.
Did you know that wheat contains 40 off the 44 essential nutrients our bodies need to thrive? Most of those nutrients are not available in modern flour.
There can be a steep learning curve to baking with fresh milled grains if you don’t have help. We walk you through the entire process start to finish so that you will know how to source toxin-free grains, what mill is best for your needs, what types of grain are best for what you want to make, how to bake with grains and have your recipes actually turn out, and how to make sourdough with ancient grains for the most nutrient dense bread possible.
When we share samples of kombucha and water kefir with our in-person classes, the most common comment is, “Wow! This tastes so much better than what you buy at the store!”
If you leave a store-bought kombucha in the fridge for weeks, nothing happens. That’s because it’s pasteurized, meaning that all the beneficial bacteria are destroyed.
If you leave a bottle of home-brewed kombucha in the fridge for weeks, it will grow a SCOBY because it is loaded with beneficial fungi and bacteria.
In February, we send you a SCOBY starter and teach you how to make these two easy, delicious, gut-boosting drinks at home.
Fat is as essential to your body as protein and should be a nutrient dense food group that is nourishing out bodies. Instead, the most commonly consumed fats in America are loaded with toxins and killing us slowly.
In March members will learn about lard and tallow, the essential questions to ask when sourcing them, the simple way to render them down for use, and finally how to make the most delicious foods with them!
In the previous month, members learned how to source and render lard and tallow. This month builds on those lessons with how to make natural soaps with lard and tallow (or without), our favorite oils to use in our soap making for various benefits, how to use natural dyes, and more.
Bonus- Chicken Keeping Part 2: how to process chickens at home. This includes our recommended processing supplies, a full step by step tutorial of processing a chicken, how to save and clean organs/fat, how we age and brine our chicken for the best possible juiciness and flavor, how to quickly break down a whole chicken, and how we make our nutrient dense bone broth.
Over the years of teaching about food security, there are a lot of common problems that we see our members unknowingly making.
In May, you will learn the essentials of food security and storage, how to stock food that actually tastes good and is easy to prepare and more.
We also share our favorite pantry swaps and freezer meals that help us clean up our diet and avoid eating fast food.
The two biggest canning fears we hear are botulism and the pressure canner exploding. In June, we do a deep dive on water bath canning vs pressure canning, how to make sure you never have to worry about botulism or a canner blowing up, how to choose the right canner for your situation, canning tools that are essential (and tools that aren’t), our favorite canning recipe books, and more.
Then we go into how to can fruits and jams without sugar or artificial preservatives, and how to pressure can meats, veggies and meals that actually taste good.
Your gut biome is responsible for regulating your immune system, producing vitamins, enzymes, regulating your blood sugar, keeping your heart healthy, your mood, digestion, and so much more. The more the gut biome is studied, the more we realize that it it influences most of the functions of the body.
Constant intake of sugars, antibiotics, convenience foods, etc kill the beneficial bacteria that we need to thrive and allow harmful fungi to take over.
As harvest season begins, we share how to preserve the bounty and boost the gut biome with a diversity of good bacteria and nutrients. Learn how to pickle and ferment vegetables to make delicious, nutrient dense and gut boosting foods like sauerkraut, pickles, onions, etc. that you can eat all year long.
Like kombucha, kefir, and fermented fruits and vegetables, home-fermented yogurt has significantly higher benefits than what is offered in store.
Fermented yogurt is rich in a diversity of probiotics and beneficial bacteria, and doesn’t contain the large amount of sugar and preservatives found in most commercial yogurts.
In August, members learn the simple and easy way to make their own fermented yogurt.
In the very first month (October), members learn about the powerhouse that is Apple Cider Vinegar and all the various ways it can be used to prevent and treat sicknesses and ailments. In the final month of the course, members learn how to make their own ACV at home.
Also included in September is how to make the best hot sauces money can’t buy, fermented salsa and more.
At the end of every course, we ask our members to complete a survey. Here are some of the results:
Course members that report the value of the course matches the cost of the course.
Members that report the value far outweighs the cost.
In 3 years of teaching classes & courses, we have never been asked to refund a course for an unhappy customer!
