Start your own Women's Group

GET EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO BUILD A LIFE CHANGING COMMUNITY

Every woman needs community

It just takes one person willing to build one

For the last four years, women have driven from all over Spokane to gather at our farm — to cook together, eat together, learn a skill, and walk out with friendships they didn’t have before. What started as two small groups has grown into a waitlist hundreds of women long and clear message: women everywhere are craving community.

And that’s the thing we keep coming back to: this isn’t about us or our farm — we’re not anything special. This is about the willingness to say “yes” to intentionally building community.

So now it’s time take this beyond our farm to your community — your living room, your backyard, your church basement, your neighborhood — using the exact structure, curriculum, and lessons we’ve spent four years refining.

We’re not looking for experts. You don’t have to be a homesteader and you don’t have to know how to do all the home-steady things. Leave that to us!

We’re just looking for the woman who’s willing to say “yes” to intentionally building community.

WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU?

What you get as a Group Leader

We’ve done the hard part already — four years of trial, error, and refinement — so you don’t have to figure this out from scratch. Here’s what we have in store for our leaders:

✓ 3 Day Training Camp here on our farm. Experience how a meeting goes, build relationships with other group leaders before the year begins, learn all the upcoming year’s lessons, and begin leadership training on how to start and run a group successfully

✓ The complete curriculum The full year of lessons, discussion topics, supply lists and recipes, laid out month by month. You’ll never wonder what to teach, where to source something, or how to structure a meeting.

✓ Ongoing leadership training zoom training calls every month with all the group leaders to prepare for upcoming meetings and address problems that arise

✓ Ready-to-use materials Course books for each of your members with all the lesson notes for each meeting will be shipped to your door.

✓ Video lessons You and your group members will have access to our private online library of video lessons for every meeting so that they can watch tutorials again and again until you master the skill.

✓ Marketing templates Application forms, social media content, and copy to help you find your 8-10 women and fill your group with confidence.

✓ Ongoing support You’re not doing this alone. We will be available to help you troubleshoot at any point by phone or email.

✓ $500+/meeting You won’t be doing this for free! It’s hard for us to give you an exact income to expect because of all the variables involved, but we estimate that you can expect to earn at least $500 per meeting that you host (more details below).

IS THIS A GOOD FIT?

This is for you if...

You’ve felt the ache of not having “your people” and you want to fix that — for yourself and for other women

You want to learn traditional home and food skills alongside other women, not from a screen alone

You’re willing to commit to showing up, monthly, for a year — because consistency is essential to building community

You’re willing to attend the training camp and monthly virtual training sessions so that you are prepared to lead a group

You have the space or are willing to find a space that can comfortably fit 8-12 women

You are good at planning and organizing

This is NOT for you if...

You might be moving in the next year or there is another reason you won’t be able to complete the year of meetings

You are struggling with health problems that might get worse and prohibit you from holding the meetings

You are pregnant or trying to get pregnant and may be having a baby in the middle of the year

You are not a “people person” and struggle with social interaction

You don’t have someone to take care of your kids during the meeting – leading a group requires your full attention and it’s not fair to the group to have your children present

IF YOU BUILD IT, THEY WILL COME

How it Works

  1. Apply to become a group leader by filling out the form below. We’ll send you all the information you need to know to make a final decision.
  2. Get trained — we will have a 3 day training camp and at least 4 zoom meetings before you hold your first meeting so that you are well prepared
  3. Find a building & set the schedule — once you know where you’re going to meet, pick the timeframe, days, dates of the year that work best for you to host a meeting(s).
  4. Gather your group — use our templates to find your 10-12 women
  5. Prepare supplies — we will send you all the course books and written material to hand out at the meetings, you will need to order supplies and prepare for the meeting
  6. Lead the meetings — one meeting a month, for a total of 9 meetings per year.
  7. Get paid by your group members every month. About 30% of the money you collect will be for supplies, and the rest will be compensation for the time and work you put in.

What's in it for you?

We want all of our group leaders to be compensated for their time! There are a lot of variables that make it difficult for us to give exact numbers (varying food prices and inflation for example).

We are confident that no matter the location, our group leaders can expect to profit at least $500 per meeting (which is a low estimate, most should earn more).

A full breakdown of costs and expenses will be sent to applicants after they apply.

READY TO TAKE THE FIRST STEP?

Submit the Application Below

A few things to note:

  1. This is our first year starting this program so we will only be able to take a limited number of group leaders to ensure we have the ability to help everyone as much as they need. Therefore, filling out an application does not guarantee acceptance.
  2. Submitting an application does not mean you have to commit to starting a group. We will send you more information and you will have the opportunity to ask more questions before you are asked to commit.
  3. If you don’t hear from us or have issues with the form, please feel free to contact us via email: amanda@sunsethighwayfarm.com

UPDATE: We are getting more applications than we anticipated so please be patient with us and we work through both the applications and how best to proceed with this process! We are SO excited about the response to this program and we want to make sure we move forward in a way that will work best for everyone 🙂
